Dominique Durand, Songwriter/Musician
With a voice that's sultry and strong, Dominique Durand is an acoustic bombshell hailing from the Cajun heartland blending folk, alternative rock, and blues. Dominique was born and raised in south Louisiana (and has the accent to prove it). She taught herself to play guitar and drums when she was 16, which is when her journey began with songwriting, playing her first gig just months after taking up an instrument. She has performed over the years as a singer-songwriter, guitar-wielding front woman, bassist and percussionist, running the gauntlet of genres at venues from the top of the Rocky Mountains to the beaches of the Florida panhandle.
Dominique is in the process of developing a band and booking gigs for late summer. In the meantime you can catch her at many of the local songwriters nights. She is also working on the soundtrack to a documentary being made for Public Television to be aired 2014.

Yvette Landry of critically acclaimed Bonsoir Catin and The Yvette Landry Band says Dominique is "a very talented songwriter."
